Frequently Asked Questions

Q : How do I know what size I should order?
A : In order to find the size that will best suit you, measure yourself at your bust and waist and refer to the Rare Size Chart and choose the size that matches your largest measurement.

Q : Can I place a custom order?
A : Custom dirndl orders start at $480.00 may not be available at all times. Please e-mail designer, Erika Neumayer at erika@erikaneumayer.com for more information.

Q : What lengths are the dirndls?
A : Rare dirndls typically come in three lengths: Mini, Medi, and Long. Mini dirndls measure approx 20 in from the waist, Medi approx 26 and long approx 38.

Q : When will I receive my Rare dirndl?
A : Some Rare dirndls are made to order and may take up to 4 weeks to ship and 6-8 weeks on special sizes.

Q : How do I care for my Rare dirndl?
A : Rare Dirndls are primarily Hand Wash Only and some are Dry Clean Only. We do not suggest putting your Rare Dirndl in the washing machine. Some aprons are machine washable. All Rare blouses are machine washable. It is strongly suggested that you hang dry the aprons and blouses.

Q : Can I return my Rare dirndl?
A : Of Course! See our return policy for details.

Q : How do I know the charity that Rare is giving to is legitimate?
A : On the Charity page, you will find information about the charity and you will also find a link to the charity’s website.

Q : Are the blouses and aprons included in the price of the dirndl?
A : Most Rare dirndl consists of the dirndl and the apron. The blouse is separate. Some dirndls do not include the apron, but that information will be clearly specified in the garment description.

Q : Do I have to order the blouse that is pictured with the dirndl?
A : Some blouses are made specifically to match a certain dirndl and others can be mixed and matched with other dirndls. Double check to see if there is a direct correlation, like the use of the specific print, between the blouse and the dirndl before mixing the styles.

Q : Can I buy the jewelry and the headpieces?
A : Some of the jewelry is provided by 6seven and can be purchased from the Rare website. The headpieces are handmade and are available, but most are made in limited quantities.

Q : What are the guidelines for group orders?
